Kingdom of the Wicked Series
Kingdom of the Feared is the last stunning book in the Kingdom of the Wicked series by Kerri Maniscalco. This book is the last one in the series but I know all of us are holding out hopes of learning the stories of the other Seven Circle rulers. We need a spin-off series, Kerri!!
The Book order is:
Below you can find a quick synopsis of the book with my overall rating, and then I will break down each category into more detail.
Kingdom of the Feared
A reckoning all have feared.
And a love more powerful than fate. All hail the king and queen of Hell.
Emilia is reeling from a shocking discovery about her sister, Vittoria. But before she faces the demons of her past, Emilia yearns to claim her king, the seductive Prince of Wrath, in the flesh. She doesn’t just desire his body; she wants his heart and soul—but that’s something the enigmatic demon can’t promise her.
When a high-ranking member of House Greed is assassinated, damning evidence somehow points to Vittoria as the murderer. Now, Emilia will do anything to get to the bottom of these accusations against the sister she thought she knew.
Together, Emilia and Wrath play a sin-fueled game of deception to solve the murder and stop the unrest that’s brewing between witches, demons, shape-shifters, and the most treacherous foes of all: the Feared. Emilia was warned that when it came to the Wicked, nothing was as it seemed. But have the true villains been much closer all along?
If you have made it this far in the series you are probably already a huge fan of Wrath and Emilia but after this, you will be in love with them forever. Their romance gets a huge upgrade and Wrath will be your new book boyfriend.
Just in Kingdom of the Feared chapter 1, you will start off with a pretty spicy moment compared to the more YA (young adult) feel of the other books. You can expect some steaming scenes throughout the book.
Kerri does an amazing job of creating three-dimensional main characters AND side characters.
In the third book, everything is revealed and we learn a lot more about the other characters, including Vittoria (you’re going to scream) and the other princes.
“Doesn’t matter.” Wrath lifted a shoulder. “I always knew you. And always will. Your soul calls to mine. It’s a feeling of coming home. Of peace. No magic can duplicate it.” For a second, I forgot how to breathe.Wrath, Kingdom of the Feared by Kerri Maniscalco
Kerri had a lot of plot to wrap up in this last book and she did it stunningly! I feel like I can’t write anything without giving anything away but just know that the pacing is perfect and all of your questions will be answered!
The book feels like one crazy discovery after the other and it will keep you up until 2 am trying to figure out what is happening.
One of my favorite parts of the last book, Kingdom of the Cursed, was reading the setting of the seven circles, and Kerri does such a good job in this book as well.
We get to visit more decadent princes’ houses, like the house of Greed, and see lavish parties with beautifully detailed outfits. Seriously, Emilia’s outfit descriptions sound so pretty. I need them in real life.
Kerri wraps the setting and the plot together perfectly so that everything is intertwined and supports each other.
You will be able to clearly see every place that Emilia and Wrath visit.
Love was the most powerful magic. No matter how many twists and bumps I’d encountered along the way, I’d finally found my home. And no one, no curse, no force in this realm or the next would take it away from me again. “I love you.”Emilia, Kingdom of the Feared by Kerri Maniscalco
If you have already read this series, then 100% you need to go read Kingdom of the Feared! Kerri Maniscalco did a fantastic job wrapping everything up together. This series is perfect to read after ACOTAR because it gives the same vibe and atmosphere.
The age rating for this book is NA (new adult). You should be 18+ if you decided to read it. It does have scenes that could be inappropriate for someone under 18 years old.
You will re-fall in love with your favorite characters, *ahem…Wrath* and discover what the curse really is about. To learn more about the series, check out Kerri Maniscalco’s website here!
